🗓️ Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Moshi Arrival

Meet your trekking team, gear check, and pre-climb briefing. Overnight at hotel in Moshi.

After registration, drive through villages to Londorossi Gate. Trek 3–4 hours through montane rainforest to Mti Mkubwa (“Big Tree”) Camp.

Leave the forest and enter the heather zone with sweeping views. 5–6 hours trek to Shira Plateau.

A short, scenic trek across the plateau. Optional afternoon hike to higher grounds for acclimatization.

Climb up to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to the Barranco Valley. Classic “climb high, sleep low” day.
